Family First Aid
Overview
This 3 hour Family First Aid course covers the essential lifesaving skills that you might need around the home. It includes time for tailored/bespoke content that can be specific to you.
This course is great for anybody but is particularly useful for families, babysitters, grandparents and other relatives.
This course is not suitable for nannies or other professionals nor anyone that needs Ofsted compliant courses. If you are looking after children in some professional capacity, look at our Paediatric 6 and 12-hour courses.

We are happy to accept children onto this course and If they are old enough, encourage them to join in. You never know when it may come in handy!

Delivered at your place of work or at one of our training centres
Our Family First Course contents include
- Assessing a situation to act safely, promptly and effectively in any emergency
- Unconscious, breathing casualty management – adult, child and baby
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for a non-breathing unconscious casualty – adult, child and baby
- Use of an Automated External Defibrillator
- Choking casualty treatment
- Wounds and bleeding casualty treatment
- Burns treatment
- Sepsis and Meningitis recognition
- Free time to discuss student-specific needs.
